IT has new records coming. We have returned to manufacturing our records
in the Midwest, using long standing family businesses. Two new records, from
Perspects and Alpha 606
are due out late spring, with a steady flow to follow, through our new
exclusive distributor, Clone Records

March 10 - IT at the WMC
Thursday March 27th:
BMG moderates the Electronic Music History panel featuring such visionaries as the architect of Public Enemy's sound, one of the founders of the US rave scene, the founder of the DEMF (and first guy to release UR), the voice of UR, the boogie down Bronx male stripper, a NYC underground DJ who became a major label remix guru, and the guy who released the first ever house record in Chicago in 1984. Ectomorph moderates: Hank Shocklee, Frankie Bones, Carl Craig, Cornelius 'Atlantis' Harris, Man Parrish, Junior Sanchez, Jesse Saunders.
2pm @ Regency Ballroom, WMC
Friday March 28th:
Interdimensional Transmissions along with Transient Force and Stilleben present Something Simple. BMG performs with newest IT signing Alpha 606, DJ Godfather and many others at PS-14. At 9 PM sharp the documentary "Darkbeat: An Electro World Voyage" will be shown, featuring BMG among the cast of thousands.

June 12 - Real Detroit
Ectomorph are featured in this week's Real Detroit "Four Track" column, a small piece about the special focus of the Friday the 13th show at Family, with a photo by Solvent.
"The musical focus will lean towards the vibe that Carlos Souffront and Patrick Russell have cultivated for that room: dark, abstract, jacking, heavy riffs and mesmerizing rhythms. This will be the melted-mind -- Ectomorph's take on that classic, Midwest Party"
May 20 - Canniball 2
IT presents its vision for a great casual dance party with this years installment of the "Cannonball" series. Well I already killed Cannonball (with Sal P from Liquid Liquid) in 2004, and it has been undead since. First it was the Death Wish (with IBM & Serge), then the zombies came to play at the original Canniball (featuring Shake), and this year the cast went to visit the set of the Thriller video, as visualized by AS1.Elements of the party to include NYC's #1 Party DJ Derek Plaslaiko, Goudron (live), BMG of Ectomorph performing with DJ Godfather, Carlos Souffront, Chuck Hampton, and a fashion show from Infinite Dimensions & Spy Wear.
Since the people who had that loft apartment on Milwaulke hated having all of you in their bathroom and the forces of evil stole Oslo from us, we are having our fun at the Magic Stick this year. The Stick will be shrunk into a more intimate setting by the installions of Infinite Dimensions.
(Yes the rumors are true, this party was intially centered around Factory Records artists Section 25, but do to American visa issues, they had to reschedule to a later date. Luckily, we'll get to do that party later, just not during the DEMF.)
May 18 - Monday Night Mixers
The first installment of Monday Night Mixer, a free dj / music / producer get-together, will be held at the Buzz Bar on May 21 with a presentation of DJing with Ableton by BMG. "This is meant to replace the DJ talks that would happen Fri & Sat afternoons at Record Time, the type of community we had from just randomly getting together while buying records" says event founder DJ Dick of Twilight 76.
April 21 - Segermorph!
Ectomorph performed live at the Detroit Music Awards last night, alongside the likes of Bob Seger & the Go.
March 21, 2007 - BMG on WMC
BMG comments on Miami / WMC in Tricia Romano's Vilage Voice column:
"It's mislabeled as a convention -- in reality, it's a music marathon," says Brendan Gillen of Ectomorph fame, who's been making the trek since the '90s. "I go because I love the actual Miami people, the indigenous music of the Miami kids -- Miami bass and laptops fueled by years of psychedelia and a deep appreciation for the avant-garde, where Autechre, Der Plan, and Luke Skyywalker hold equal sway. It is really a refreshing and inspiring view."
