I.T. Radio: Scott "Go-Go" Gordon
IT presents a special hour of radio about radio, with BMG and Erika in conversation with the city’s broadcasting veteran.
It’d be hard to overstate how deep Scott “Go-Go” Gordon’s relationship with Detroit music runs. He joined the Dance Detroit record pool – home to the Belleville Three, Ken Collier and Duane Bradley – at the tender age of 12. He’d cut his teeth as a DJ with appearances at teen clubs and, later, with a residency at the Shelter at St. Andrews Hall, mixing soul, R&B and industrial with house and techno. (It was there that he met and mentored a young Richie Hawtin.) His club career eventually transitioned into one in major-label promotion and radio. Gordon, along with Interdimensional Transmissions hosts BMG and Erika, will make Detroit’s famous airways the focus of this special live broadcast from our studio in Detroit.
